Printed Page vs. Twitter vs. Cell-Phone-Novel vs. E-Reader (Kindle et al.)

Hearing that my lovely spouse gave me an Amazon Kindle for Christmas, a friend forwarded to following link to me: NPR: How E-Books Will Change Reading And Writing

I find it interesting that the article throws reading twitter posts and reading on a cell phone screen in with reading on an e-book reader. That's like comparing apples and oranges, as my kindle screen holds about as much text as a paperback page. I am currently reading books that were written between 1800 and the 1920s, hardly the materials which, according to the author, were written specifically with an e-reading device in mind. They are not what you would call "narratively very propulsive." I enjoy them all the same, even read on the kindle.
